Men's Ministry Leader

Richard Floyd - Richard and his wife Linda were married in 1995 and came to Lakeshore in 2007 from Concord, California (San Francisco Bay Area) to (in Richard's words) "escape California and simplify their lives."  They have two adult sons, both of whom reside in California.  Richard was baptized at age 8, but testifies that it was not until 1998 that he "sold out" to Christ during a Promise Keepers men's conference.  He was discipled by an older man through a Naval division known as "Navigator Staff," whose mission is to know Jesus and make Him known to men."  Through his mentor Richard learned the importance of a Christian man's obligation to serve by connecting to other men and leading them to Christ.  His forte is committing Scripture to memory for instant recall for use in even the most casual conversation with those seeking to understand the Gospel.  He loves any outdoor activity, especially hunting and fishing; which appropriately fits him being a "fisher of men."
