FERVENT: A Woman's Battle Plan for Serious, Specific, and Strategic Prayer

by Priscilla Shirer

You have an enemy . . . and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ. What’s more, his approach to disrupting your life and discrediting your faith isn’t general or generic, not a one-size-fits-all. It’s specific. Personalized. Targeted.

So this book is your chance to strike back. With prayer. With a weapon that really works. Each chapter will guide you in crafting prayer strategies that hit the enemy where it hurts, letting him know you’re on to him and that you won’t back down. Because with every new strategy you build, you’re turning the fiercest battles of life into precise strikes against him and his handiwork, each one infused with the power of God’s Spirit.

This 11-week study will meet at the leader's home in La Vergne, and no childcare is available.

Tuesdays, May 16 - July 25, 2017, 6:30-8:15 PM.  Led by Sue Evans. The book fee is $10.

Present Over Perfect: Leaving Behind Frantic for a Simpler, More Soulful Way of Living

by Shauna Niequist

Present Over Perfect is writer Shauna Niequist’s motto for how to live a rich, engaged, and loving life in the midst of what often feels terribly messy and imperfect. In vulnerable, honest stories and beautifully written short essays Shauna offers an invitation to a new way of living—full of grace, space, and connection.

This class is more of a book review than a Bible study.  Read a section of the book each week and then meet each Tuesday for 6 weeks to discuss. Books are available to purchase on Amazon, Christianbook.com or Walmart.com.  Please read Part 1: Sea Change before the class starts on May 2nd.

Tuesdays, May 2 - June 6, 2017, 6:30 PM. Led by Tracy Hall.

This portion of God's Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives. This 10-week study includes personal study five days a week and weekly meetings to discuss and watch a video by Beth Moore. Workbooks will be available on the first night of study.
