ABOUT
Women’s Ministries’ events and programs provide opportunities for women to CONNECT with Christ and with each other, to GROW to maturity in Christ, and to SERVE people in the name of Christ. The core of Women’s Ministries is weekly Bible study, with events, retreats and outreach opportunities scheduled throughout the year, all designed to encourage, teach, and empower women to live life to the fullest. Melanie Baker
Women's Ministries Director
Melanie is a Smyrna, TN native and has attended Lakeshore since 1997. She has been the Women’s Ministries Director since 2004. She and her husband Lester have two adult children, Jessica and Joshua, and three grandchildren, Paisley, Ace and Sadie. Besides working part-time for the church, Melanie is a self-employed bookkeeper, volunteers for The Branch of Nashville, and enjoys keeping her grandchildren. She loves to cook, garden, and read historical fiction.
